Used as medicine, dye intermediates. The death of pesticides produced with o-chlorobenzaldehyde can prevent aphids on dry crops and fruit trees. The o-chlorobenzaldehyde oximation can obtain o-chlorobenzyl hydrazine, and further chlorination can obtain o-chlorobenzyl hydrazine, both of which are drug intermediates.
